Varramista

Varramista is a Red wine from the winery Varramista.

The winery is located in Montopoli in Val d'Arno, in the province of Pisa (Toscana).

It is made of Syrah grapes.

The soil is sandy-clayey. The vine training system is spurred cordon. The altitude of the vineyard is 70m. The exposure is south-southwest.

Vines per hectare are 8,000.

Aged in barriques for 15 months and for 24 months in the bottle.

The color is ruby red. Has a bouquet of oriental spices, licorice and black pepper. On the palate warm, harmonious, complex and persistent.

It goes well with wild boar, stewed red meats and aged cheeses.
